Los ganadores de la 5ta. edición de los Unscripted Breakthrough Awards fueron anunciados este martes 22 en un almuerzo especial en el Fontainebleau Miami Beach, por la superestrella de la música country Kellie Pickler y el reconocido periodista Ben Aaron.

Los premios han sido concebidos para honrar programas y reconocer a profesionales que fueron disruptivos durante el último año en formatos no guionados. Los premios 2019 se entregaron en las siguientes categorías: Innovación, Competencia, Documental, Docusoap, Factual y Game Shows.

El ganador en la categoría Competencia fue RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1); en Documental: RBG (CNN); Docusoap: Born This Way (A&E); en Factual: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO); Game Show: Ellen's Game of Games (NBC); y en Innovación: Live PD (A&E).
